Sega Genmobile: the Nomad 2?
Written by Jasmine Maleficent Rea

Here's something you know you've been wanting: a portable Genesis! Wait, you say there already is one? Damn. Well, that overpriced hunk of junk can't play MegaDrive carts now, can it? [via Technabob]:

This baby can -- and without the frustration of a contrast wheel. You can order one for yourself at Stone Age Gamer for $54.99. That is a mere fraction of the Nomad's original $200 price point. Hit the jump to see a dorky person attempting to look tough while modeling the Nomad. It's all for size comparison.

Though the Genmobile is another PSP-like handheld, it has nothing on the Nomad -- which seems to be about the same size as a person's head.

How heavy is it? Whatever the answer I still want one
Rachel Jagielski , October 20, 2009
@Rachel: Probably substantially less heavy than the Nomad. I had to take the battery pack off the Nomad before I could hold it like that.

Yeah, you'd probably be alright to sub in that Nomad for a 10 lb dumbell. Someone should e-mail Jillian Michaels, just to be on the safe side.

Any reviews up on this? I want to order one but I am worried about the side controller and buttons as they look a tad on the cheap side. I understand the item was created at a budget price but I would gladly pay more for a higher quality item.

@Matthew I haven't seen any reviews, but I am sure the buttons are going to be on the cheap side. they look like the same buttons on the GN Twin controllers.

I forgot to mention that the Genmobile also comes with a selection of game installed on it. All Genesis, all worthwhile.
