Speed Box! World's Fastest Joystick
Written by Jasmine Maleficent Rea

This curious item comes to us from the often backward world of Ebay [via GameSniped]

The "super rare" arcade pad is supposedly a Sega prototype for an optical-based controller. Given that Sega was prone to making up words to make their items seem better than they were (see: blast-processing), this highly revolutionary item is likely a clunky and unnecessary joystick.

My money is on it being something the seller built. It's currently going for $199.99 without a single bid, so if you want to drop the money on this potential bit of history, you'll likely not encounter much of a fight.

a bit pricey! guess if it didn't it can always be a door stopper or one half of a book end

you should track it and find out who the crazy buyer is and then ask if they'd be keen to write a review piece!
