I like to think of myself as a person who handles money very well. I invest in my retirement, I put money away for my son's education, I limit most purchases to only what I can afford in cash, etc.

With that in mind, I've noticed that lately, I am much more reluctant to purchase videogames than I was even 3 years ago. 3 years ago, I didn't have an Xbox 360 or a PSP. 3 years ago I wasn't spending between $60 and $70 on average for game purchases. 2 years ago I didn't have an extra mouth to feed. Now I do have an extra mouth to feed and I am forced to drop $60 large on most of my game purchases.

I don't think I've ever stopped to assess what my 10 favorite videogames of all-time are. Possibly because the list seems to change so often. But, if one were to ask me today, here's what I'd tell you.

#10 - Rock n' Roll Racing - One of the SNES' hidden gems takes my #10 slot. I must have logged at least 200+ hours in this game when it was all said and done. It was one of the few racing games I've played and enjoyed in my gaming career. This was the go-to game during snow days home from school.

#9 - Bruce Lee - As a child, I loved playing games on my Commodore 64 system. My most prized game on the system was Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee was a simple platformer game that just got it right for what I like. Climbing, jumping and whoopin ass on some green Sumo Wrestler lookin kats. I still enjoy this game to this day and I saw there was a freeware remake online with updated graphics. I need to holla at that.

In the Spirit of e3, I decided to post pics of my Xbox 360 with the faceplate that I use.  This gem was acquired during a trip to the good ole e3 from 2006, as the pic suggests.  I went ahead and blurred the manufacturer's name to protect them from hateration!

Does this system look familiar?

A Great Show. Period!

As a kid and a young adult, I was never into Anime.  I mean; I watched Voltron and Robotech; but that was because they came on regular TV with all the other cartoons I enjoyed as a kid.

In 2005 I entered an Anime store in the mall in my neighborhood to see if they sold videogames.  I was unware of the adventure I was about to encounter.  The dude that was working at the store told me that they didn't sell games and then asked if he could help me find some Anime to watch.  I said, "No, I'm not into Anime."

Somehow we started talking about Hip Hop (one of my passions) and before I knew it, I had a rental membership card and 2 volumes of Samurai Champloo rented out.  I took them home and watched them with an open mind...  I watched both volumes in one sitting (apprx 8 - 18min episodes).  I was hooked.  I let my wife see them and she got hooked as well.  In the months that followed, I owned and watched the entire Samurai Champloo series (7 DVDs)  To date, it is the best Anime series I've seen.  Truly, it's one of the best short series I've seen, period.
