Bitmob Posting Tips: Video Games = Two Words

Sorry to contradict what we told you in the comments of our Bitmob Posting Tips piece, but after further discussion, we decided that we'd really like to be Google's friend, so "video games" will officially be two words for us from now on.

Thank you!

I just noticed that the legal disclaimer at the front of BioShock says "videogame" as one word. Who are you going to believe, Google or 2K?

And Shoe, thanks for clarifying this issue. If board games is two words, then so should video games...

I can agree with that.

Most people spell videogame as one word despite the fact that it's not officially a word yet. I'll stick to spelling it as one word until the English language catches up with the rest of the world.

@Frank: Haha, sorry about that. It broke our "Latest Comments" box, so I had to cut it back.

No worries! It was too extreme to last for long anyway.

@Shoe

But.. but.. I already added "videogame" to Google Chrome as a word. It said it wasn't, but I said "Shoe said so" and right-clicked "Add to Dictionary" to it, and then low and behold.

Google said "upon further review, videogame's a word."

So what now? Google AND 2K BOTH think "videogame" is a word. And I am left without a "Remove from Dictionary" option.

As an aside, Google now things "Beeeeeeeeeer" and "Gaaaaaaaaaming" are words as well. Because.. well.. they just are.
