A Rockin' Beatles: Rock Band Limited-Edition Xbox 360

In preparation for tomorrow's release of The Beatles: Rock Band, Microsoft is auctioning off limited-edition, Beatles-themed Xbox 360s on eBay to benefit the Doctors Without Borders charity. We confirmed with Microsoft that these are indeed Xbox 360 Elites, and they'll be putting 50 of them up for bidding.

If you can't afford the auction, buying and downloading the Xbox Live-exclusive track "All You Need is Love" (160 MS points) will automatically register you for a chance to win one of these 360s as well as a Rickenbacker 325 guitar controller. Proceeds from this download also go toward the charity, which was selected by Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono Lennon, and Olivia Harrison.

These consoles are numbered and hand painted with scenes from the game. Check after the jump for more close-up images.

Er.. did I read that right.. "Current bid US $4,050.00"...

I think I'll stick with the, um, "classic eggshell model hand painted by a contemporary yet unknown [read: hip] 5 year old artist"
