In this round of the Bitmob Community Jukebox, the video-game-music suggestions flew in from every corner of the site...and they incidentally held to one theme in common: electronica.
So that's the theme that guided me (but for the sake of variety, not totally).
The best song of the week was especially hard to name this time. The community contributors really put me to task. After two weeks running, Stephano Nevarez almost made "best of" three times in a row. Brian's Shirk's sad song had me down -- but in a good way. Dan "I run the goddamn site" Hsu also hit a nerve with a discordant tune from Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory by Amon Tobin -- I love his musical contemporaries like Aphex Twin and Squarepusher. And Evan Killham gave the biggest, over-the-top theme yet...beside Alex R. Cronk-Young's choice.
It's easy to join in on the fun; just hit the jump to find out more.
I've got three ways to get your head bobbin':

Method 3: I'm Tired of This Playlist

Tired of this week's Jukebox selections? Want to scope which classic songs have already been nabbed by other Bitmobbers? Then check out The Bitmob Community Jukebox Archive. Contributor Evan Killham created -- and maintains -- a comprehensive list of every song that the community and I have ever chosen.
With hundreds of tunes now available in the Archive, you don't need to fret if this week's jams aren't to your taste. Just click the link, and the records keep on spinnin'!
For all you newcomers, here's how it works. There are few simple rules/guidelines for submitting songs:
1) Every week I will post 15 well-known -- and not-so-well-known -- songs.
2) For each post, I will choose as many as 14 community suggestions to put toward the 15. I will make up any shortfall.
3) Songs from music games with original music and licensed songs from game soundtracks like Grand Theft Auto are OK. Submissions from games like Guitar Hero or Rock Band will not be accepted. Otherwise, this post may turn into a competition between people's favorite bands.
4) Each week, I will select one song as the Double-Plus Good Pick of the Week. The winner will receive exactly nothing save that their song will be featured last and will have a "++good" marker next to it.
5) Only one submission response per person, per week.
I will always try to find the official name of any song I use -- whether it comes from myself or the community. If I am unable to verify a song's title, I will mark it with an asterisk (*).
Finally, if you'd like to win the Double-Plus Good Song of the Week, try to think of an obscure song or a song you think I have overlooked in previous posts.
P.S. Bear McCreary is the superstar this week. His Dark Void soundtrack outstripes the quality of the game nine times over. If you haven't, watch the entirety of the Battlestar Galactica remake.

This post also contains my favorite type-o. For some reason I just find it super funny reading "Brain" instead of "Brian".
Anyways, I never made it through the whole game, but this battle theme song stuck with me even after dropping the title. Nothing necessarily amazing, but a nice poppy song that caught my ears during those Persona 4 battles!
