Treyarch, your attention to detail is lost on me. Your attempt at keeping me engaged and focused in the narrative while keeping the shit-hittin-fan level continuously well above 11 is admirable, yet in my opinion, slightly discordant.

The launch line up for Microsoft's Kinect is a tremendous disappointment as it usually is for any new console launch. Obviously Kinect isn't a new console per se, but we're now 6 years into the life of the Xbox 360 and that's about the time new consoles are introduced to replace our pathetically outdated systems.

Hey guys. I've emailed the Bitmob crew but have yet to find out why I can't access my profile. I can post but I can't access my profile to edit, delete or review my posts. Is anyone else getting this malware warning?

Astro Gaming’s A40 Audio System is a definite alternative, if not outright replacement, for your home surround sound theater system, more so if you live in an old folks home where ROCK is a bowel movement. Unless you simply can’t justify the $250 wallet-weight-loss system to the wife, there's not reason not to pick these up.

OnLive is now somewhat officially live and here are some thoughts for any of you that are curious about how it delivers on it's promises.

It happened with Crackdown and now it returned with Crackdown 2. My desire to to play Crackdown was close to nothing until I got my first hands-on with the demo and being the completionist I am, I was immediately addicted to finding every single orb. Crackdown 2's recent demo has proved to be a return to form as I immediately found myself back at

I've noticed a couple of things at this weeks E3 that I haven't really heard much talk about. I'm wandering if anyone else has any thoughts on them as well. In short OnLive's Gabe Newell's crow...for dinner.

After two months of work, Harmonix has yet to approve my Rock Band Network song. I blame this on my work ethic and my celebrity status.

I wouldn't shoot a Vietnamese guy without reason nor would I stab a scientologist for being insane. I like knowing who my enemies are and why they are my enemies. Braid is a completely different story though, and for once I don't mind bouncing off the heads of little cowardly lion looking heads.

Back when the NES was balls deep in platformers it was pretty ballsy of CAPCOM to push a game like Bionic Commando because it was a platformer WITH NO JUMP BUTTON. You read correctly. NO JUMP BUTTON.

After playing around with OnLive I can actually see how the service could definitely be used for sampling games since the service allows you to play the actual full game for 30 minutes. As I mentioned in a previous post most games currently on the service are console games. While I personally wouldn't mind paying $4.95 a month to demo full games, if the official price of OnLive, once it's out of a "closed beta", turns out to be $14.95, that's a bit much for a demo service. On top of that is the pricing structure that shows no consistency between games and the hill looks that much steeper.

@Juan Letona. My current configuration through boot camp runs plenty of games extremely well, granted without all the fancy antialiasing and such. However that was my biggest gripe that currently OnLive doesn't have any games that you couldn't already play on a console or low-end PC through Steam. For example the best test would be if they had something like Crysis running on the service but they don't. The games they currently offer are games like AAAHHHahhhAHHHH!, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Assassins Creed 2, UT3, Lego Harry Potter, Dirt 2, Just Cause 2, Prince of Persia, Borderlands, and a few others. Not much choice at the moment.

Both of your guys' comments are spot on with how I feel about it as well. While I feel the controls have aged rather quickly I still find the Orbs and Achievements to be the best part. The enemies are basically the glue between you and the Orbs, the dried up mess that never did quite stick but worked temporarily.

"So is Portal 2 a PS3 exclusive?"

Thanks for the info. Didn't really think it was a rip off though. It was just so blatantly obvious that I could have sworn I'd read something about Valve picking up a few of those devs. I don't read Game Informer but that does sound very familiar. Either way I'm definitely looking forward to it.

No problem whatsoever, thanks Shoe. I'd be happy to remove it entirely if it's a problem. It was simply to let readers know it was an older article. I was hoping for some criticism on the piece and greatly appreciate the opportunity to share work with a great audience.
