Wow! Sorry, I've been putting out fires on this side and hadn't had a chance to catch up:
-Firstly, thanks [once again] to Rob Savillo for making these smashed together words look intelligible.
-Second, Thanks Gerren for such a damned awesome post! Though I do feel a way about the taxonomy class of calling someone a "hardcore gamer", it does pop up whenever something forum oriented makes news, but had it not been for some of these mature people...places like NeoGAF wouldn't exist.
Wait...where was I going with this?
"
@David King Dang...I rented it for review, but its definitely on my Goozex list of purchases that need to be made

VF5 is pure crack! Its fighting system still looks kinda goofy [which is why little to no fighting game tourney's run them], but such a good game.

The real article with photos in tow is here.

Crap...sorry about the pics. I'm at work but I'll fix it when I get off [in 10 mins]

First off...F**k anybody who isn't from Cleveland commenting on Cleveland sports. ESPN has done a great job commenting on the city of my birth and where I was raised to the point to now their brand of 'bash-journalism' has seeped down here to Columbus. By the by...go Big Ten and Go Buckeyes [that one is for you Shoe].
Second off...There are several different types of diehard Cleveland fans. Since I was raised in the hood, I'm more of a realist. Fans who are completely aware of who/what we are rooting for, but we do. Sure there were fair-weather fans of the Cavs during the Lebron era. Who could blame them? The Cavs were due. The Browns will function as the heel of most NFL jokes...and the Indians have just recently been terrible. [Everyone seems to forget about the epic Boston vs. Cleveland rivalry of 2008 for the ALCS]
Cleveland remains a joke to most people who lightly follow sports, because...well...they kinda don't know the talent that Cleveland has brewed. From Jesse Owens to the mid-to-late 90's Cleveland Indians. People actually forget that Cleveland isn't Iowa or meth-capital Portland, Oregon.
In closing. If you're not from Cleveland, then your opinion on my fine city is worth as much as a defensive end from the Browns. And if you are from Cleveland? Welcome to the pound and no, being from Parma or Shaker doesn't make you a Clevelander.

Cane's yo...that's whassup.

Sounds pretty amazing.
"
Metal Gear Solid...don't even get me started. A franchise I've loved for so long, but is almost 'indefensible' when talking about its core narrative and how its executed.
"
I wasn't commenting on the quality of the game, but as a game it kinda shifted release dates into the first four months of this year. And its looking like it may happen again [Halo: Reach & Black Ops]. Its cool to 'want' people to buy games of quality, but in all honesty...if I'm at a counter with 60 dollars in my pocket and I'm looking at Alan Wake, Red Dead and Blur...its not a hard guess for me as a simple-minded consumer.
You are commenting on the quality of the industry...which is definitely a different article.
"
Well that and the smaller developed gems such as Scott Pilgrim, which has a local multiplayer mode I disagree with. This article is kind of a love letter to 'the good ole days'. And seeing how gaming has evolved into playing with friends-at-a-distance its actually really hard to believe that arcades existed at all.
It makes me feel old. And you know what? I'm okay with that.

Damn...you know what? I've been meaning to set time aside and donate. Thanks for calling attention to the Donation link. And seeing as I already use Gamefly/Goozex religiously...I can't 'unsubscribe' then resub in order to use the promo [well... I don't want to because I'm a bit too lazy for that].
