Oww, my eyes! I've been in stores nowd!

I'm sure we have all noticed the Dragon Age ad on Bitmob today. I doubt you could miss it. I'm sure that Dragon Age is a fine game and i'm sure that Bitmob is in need of money to fund it's adventures in website hood. Still....oww. This ad hurt me more then the chick sunning her tits. At least that one was small.
It's irrational to worry about. I know that Bitmob needs to advertise and I know they must have made some scratch off of this but....it looks like other gaming websites. Personally I come to Bitmob and set it as my homepage partially because Bitmob doesn't look like other gaming websites that are assaulting my eyes non stop in an attempt to get at my juicy wallet.
Weather or not it's rational to think this way and weather or not it's fair to Bitmob this use of ad space has negatively impacted my enjoyment of the site. So I toss it over to the other Bitmobbers. What's your opinion? In the cuthroat world of internet ads how much is too much? Does the white space at the borders of the site represent peace of mind to your constantly assaulted consumer brain or is the hot blogging at the center all you care about?

Meh, this ad really doesn't bother me. I come here for the community aspect and the variety of contecnt afforded by the community. If there are some ads on the side bars I really don't care.
It could be worse, at least we're not getting bullshit ads like 'take our IQ quiz' or '1 simple rule for a fat belly' or 'white teeth secret'. My personal favorite BS ad:

Where to start? Is there anything right about this ad? Jona Brothers? Rock Hero?

It does not bother me. It was a surprise, but it did not affect the actual content. It's not a bad background image, all things considered.

On the bright side, ads like this will allow us to not only fix problems like the slow blog post loading but also build the things we really want to add to the site, which I think you're definitely going to enjoy.

I'm actually happy for all the Bitmob guys that they finally have some revenue coming in. Yay for progress!

Oh i'm not saying i'm not thrilled bitmob is getting money. I just am saying I hate large ads with a passion. It's hardly as bad as some other sites I just thought it was worth mentioning.

Doesn't bother me one bit - if it means Bitmob will be around longer and through ad support (i.e. FOOD), so be it.
