While you're sitting at home all comfy playing Modern Warfare 2 on your cushy couch, smoking a pipe in your terry cloth robe, we'd like to guilt you into thinking about the children.
This holiday season, plenty of sick kids will be under care, stuck in hospitals away from their usual comforts. That's where the Child's Play charity comes in. We don't believe they supply cushy couches, smoking pipes, or soft robes to children, but they do bring them toys, books, and video games.
You can help, of course, but we understand we can get a whole lot more out of you if you can get something in return besides a nice tax deduction....
On Wednesday, December 9, the game industry will come together in San Francisco, CA for Ümloud!, a big Rock Band party to benefit Child's Play. Ticket prices are a suggested $10 donation, but even cooler, you'll be able to bid on tons of goodies that game companies and media outlets (like us) will be putting up for raffle.
We already know you love getting game schwag. And we know a lot of you made it out for the Bitmob Meet-up to grab such schwag. But for the follow-up to that get-together (as previously discussed), let's all party at Ümloud! instead. Bitmob will be there with goods (and drinks) in hand.
