We've got first-hand E3 stories, how Microsoft can 'win Japan' with Project Natal, Metal Gear Solid: Rising conspiracy theories, and other can't-miss posts from around the Bitmob community....

The More You Know: Overheard at a Game Store
I love this collection of misinformed quotes collected by Jasmine Maleficent Rea during the course of employment at various game shops. "Final Fantasy 7 is actually the first Final Fantasy. 'All them others is nonsense.'"

What Can We Expect From Metal Gear Solid: Rising
Matthew Floratos does some in-depth hypothesizing about Hideo Kojima's MGS: Rising, cyborg ninjas, and Crystal Pepsi product placement.

Open Source Natal Concept 1: Rhythm Game
Inspired by David Costellos's post about how Project Natal could work with existing franchises, Alexei GB (GB? That's a last name now?) wants you to brainstorm Project Natal game concepts with him. So far, he's got Saturday Night Fever. I offer Being Ernest, a Hemingway-themed game with bullfighting, deep sea/fly fishing, big game hunting, boxing, ambulance driving, and heroic drinking.

Project Natal and Lilo: How Microsoft Can Sell Millions to Japan
Thomas Lin has the solution to Microsoft's sales problem in Japan. Hint: It has turquoise pigtails and anime eyes.

(E3, MAG, motion controllers, LittleBigPlanet, Stubbs the Zombie, E3, Left 4 Dead 2, more E3...and more, after the jump.)

E3 Through the Eyes of a Gamer
You may recall David Ngo from such posts as Gaming and Cosplay at FanimeCon 2009. Well, David went to E3, and all he got was about five billion photographs, six full bags of shwag, and a case of trench foot.

A Gamer's First E3
Juan Martinez also went to E3, but he came back with 1,698 words and no pictures. Which is good, because he also met up with some of us there, and we don't photograph so good.

Massive Action Game -- E3 Hands-On
Bitmobber Alex Watson was at E3 too, and wrote at length about his experience playing MAG.

What of My Noble, Calloused Thumbs?
Everyone's talking up motion control these days, but not Jasmine Maleficent Rea, who chimes in again to make the case for the good old joystick/D-pad, arguing that motion-controlled games will be less relaxing and less capable of creating escapist experiences. What, you don't like minigame collections and exercise videos disguised as games?

EA Sports Active: Day 15
Alex R. Cronk-Young might disagree with Jasmine...he's halfway through a month of using EA Sports Active, and has shed 11.5 lbs.

A LittleBigPlanet Snow Day
I don't use the term "heart-warming" very often -- and I can't use it here, because I've already exceeded my yearly quota. But Rachel Jagielski's story about playing LittleBigPlanet with her roommates on a snow day is...nice.

Terranigma: A Linear Adventure Into the Unknown
Brian Shirk continues his series of posts about obscure role-playing-games with a look at Terranigma for SNES.

Valve Says, "Oops, Sorry Mod Community"
The Internet was outraged that Valve would dare make a sequel to Left 4 Dead so soon after the original (although seriously, what developer has resisted quick cash-ins more than Valve? Cut the guys some slack). Andrew Thompson actually had a decent point, though -- it totally screwed up his mod-making plans.

My 'The Graveyard' Experience
Jonathan Schoen's write up of indie game The Graveyard is interesting -- at least I think it is, I didn't read it all because it's also spoilerific.

My Life as a Woman
Mark Sutton opted to roll a female in Fable 2, and noticed that it actually changed the way he played the game. Or maybe he would have collected hot pants and corsets either way.

Review! Valkyria Chronicles
Chris Davidson tackles this distinctive-looking strategy-RPG. I really need to try this game one of these days.

Stubbs the Zombie Review
Here's another one on my pile of shame, Stubbs, as reviewed by Allistair Pinsof.

Demian, the Bitmob spotlight is an awesome way for me to catch up on what I have missed. This is my favorite column!
