Kinect EventJust because our community (for the most part) isn't at E3 doesn't mean they can't provide their usual insightful take on the proceedings. As much as I love the ability for the average gamer to weigh in on stuff from outside the show floor, this year, I don't think we can say as much without being 100% speculative. Motion control is a very tactile thing, and we can wax about it all we want, but until we actually sit down and try the new stuff, I don't think we can really say a whole lot.

@ Micheal

I don't think that is entirely true. I think we can all say that we aren't impressed. I don't think people problem with the Kinect is whether or not the motion controller works I think what people are upset about, What I am upset about is the fact that microsoft said Kinect would be revolutionary, Instead we have a wii without the remote. What I want to see is WHY? why do we need Kinect?

@Ryan, you can't say "we all aren't impressed" because maybe somebody out there is. Also, I'm not talking about whether it works or not. I'm talking about the fact that in previous years, you could tell what a game would play like based on familiarity with controls. Calling Kinect a "fail" right now without getting a chance to play it makes no sense, because we have no frame of reference for it yet. We need to play it before we know how it feels, and really, gaming is all about feel. We might not like the content of the games, sure, but nobody here currently blogging can say whether or not Kinect is worthwhile yet.
