My girl's special. She loves me, she encourages me, and she nurtures me. Everything that she does is much more than any guy could ever ask for, but if there's one extra thing that makes my girl special to me, it's that she's a gamer!

I'm not talking about some Bejeweled playing, Animal Crossing planting, Wii Fit gamer. I'm talking Solid Snake sneaking, God of War slashing, hardcore gamer. No girly movies for us on a Saturday night... nope, we're getting our game on. She's been playing since SNES, is a devoted Sony fan since PS1, and a PS3 owner. Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, and Uncharted are some of her favorite titles. Her shelf also contains things like Resistance, Killzone, LBP, and every iteration of Devil May Cry (Dante apparently is a bit of a looker). The one that caught me off guard at first was that Metal Gear is number one for her. How cool is that, possibly the most hardcore of hardcore is her favorite.

Her love for games is awesome, and her understanding of my ridiculous obsession can be equally if not more awesome. About a year and a half ago it was my birthday, and I was dying to play Bioshock for months. I made a promise that I wouldn't buy it, and I kept my promise thinking that one day I would get to play it, little did I know.... Not only did my special someone get me Bioshock, but she got me the 3 disc collector's edition. Behind the scenes, bonus music, and a cast Big Daddy figurine! I was speechless and giddy as a school girl at the same time.

It's not just the gamer in her that draws me to her so much, it's everything she is. 3 years together I knew it was time. So a little over a week ago I asked her if she wanted to Press Start the biggest most rewarding game in life, and she said YES!
