I heard about Bitmob via The Freelancers Podcast. It’s a great show about how to get into the industry as a freelance writer.
The first article I posted to Bitmob was about NPC’s and how they act. I provided my problem and a solution, or what I think a solution would be. It didn’t set the world on fire, but it got people talking. I love videogames, and debating. For me, Bitmob is a perfect fit. If I can get people to think about something and discuss it, I have succeeded.
I haven’t changed how I write as far as content is concerned. I learned a few posts in that I sometimes don’t clarify things very well. I know what I want to say, but it isn’t coming across in the article. I’ve been working on that. The Bitmob community has assured me that if you construct a thoughtful article and talk about things you love, people are going to respond. In just about every case, they have responded with thoughtful insight, which is great.
I’ve since written 10+ articles and posted them to Bitmob. Most have received 100+ views and a few comments each. I’ve been featured on the front page 3 times, one of which has garnered 4000+ views. Being featured on the front page scared me. I wasn’t sure what the response would be. Surprisingly I haven’t received any hateful messages. Everyone has been really nice. Knowing that people are viewing and responding to your thoughts and feelings is a great thing. It’s spurred me on, and made me want to continue writing.
