Maria RenardThe Community Spotlight highlights some of the best articles that just didn't quite make it to the front page. This week we take a look at concept albums and cutting down on limited edition copies of games.

Castlevania Meets Sailor Moon
By Jonathan Oyama
Jonathan pays tribute to one of the more peculiar additions to the Castlevania series: Maria Renard. She throws birds at her enemies and looks like she fell out of Sailor Moon, but she's a significant playable character in Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night.

Keep a Limit on Limited Editions
By Hudson Turman
Limited Edition versions of games are never as special as they seem. At least, not when it comes to AAA titles like Halo and Modern Warfare. Hudson's right. It's time to cut back on the fluff and make those expensive bigbox versions of games worth the extra price. Like the Assassin's Creed 2 collector's set, which came with a sizable Enzio statuette (suitable for worshiping as your new god).

Concept Album: Sonic the Hedgehog 2
By Chase Koeneke
While I've never beaten Sonic the Hedgehog 2, I completely agree with Chase: that soundtrack rocks. Who needs expertly composed orchestral tones when we have Sonic to grove to?

Salute Your Snake: A Tribute to a Mobile Gaming Pioneer
By Jeremy Signor
It's difficult to remember the days before the iPhone. How did we survive without easy access to so many mobile games? In 1998, Nokia made a bold move when it put monochromatic versions of Snake on their mobile phones. You can laugh at the N-Gage, but Nokia did change everything.

3D Technology Shouldn't Be the Standard
By Doug Otto
Doug thinks it's too early for video game makers to jump on the 3D gaming bandwagon. If 3D becomes the standard presentation for all sorts of media, what happens to the segment of the population that can't see in 3D?

The Ambiguous Definition of a Retro Game
By Erik Chalhoub
Do you think of the last console generation as retro? While the answer might seem simple, gamers and critics alike are divided over the issue. I don't consider PS2, Xbox, and GameCube games retro, but many of them certainly feel primitive these days.
