Get ready for another edition of the Community Spotlight. Today we'll come to understand Valve's grasp of carnival-themed terror, how Halo 3: ODST may be more familiar than you realize, and the difference between being a backlogged gamer and game collector.

Lance Darnell pops up again with a Twitterview with Alex R. Cronk-Young and a nostalgic follow-up to his Tales from a Smoke-Filled Arcade.

Nostalgia isn't everything, however, as Christopher Quach learns when he revisits the PC game Warlords.

Left 4 Dead 2 - Tokyo Game Show Impressions
By Nick Giunta

Nick was lucky enough to play Left 4 Dead 2 at the Tokyo Game Show and shares his experiences. Left 4 Dead 2 sounds like a more fleshed-out realization of the premises laid down by the original -- though we're creeped out by the clowns that attract other Infected with their squeaky shoes.

Playing with Power: Why ODST is Combat Evolved 2
By Alex Dello lacono

Shortly before the launch of Halo 3: ODST, Alex decided to return to the start of the Halo series. Once he swapped to ODST, a strange sense of déjà vu gripped him. ODST brought back many of the constraints that the player endured throughout the original Halo -- constraints that were later dropped so that Master Chief could become a supersoldier. Is ODST, not Halo 2 or Halo 3, the true successor to the first Halo?

Games from a Smoke-Filled Arcade
By Lance Darnell

Lance takes a nostalgic trip back into the hazy depths of his youth and gives a first-hand account of three games that should never be forgotten (along with their console adaptations). The youngest Bitmobbers likely have never seen a Tecmo Bowl cabinet. What a monstrosity!

Backlog vs. Collection
By Erick Giron
What's the line between avid but backlogged gamer and avid game collector? It may be the moment you pursue the best quality product, only to leave it to collect dust on your shelf while you pursue a wealth of newer titles. Speaking as someone who just counted the 400 games sitting in her living room, this line is very easy to cross. And it isn't something to be ashamed of, as Erick explains.

A Twitterview with Alex R. Cronk-Young
By Lance Darnell
It's another installment of Twitterview. This time, Lance talks with Alex R. Cronk-Young, who reveals his desire to farm...ostriches? That's a pretty awesome dream to have, but it seems vaguely out of place with all of his gaming habits. Perhaps he dreams of breeding Chocobos? Alex is a cool dude; Lance just makes you more aware of that.

Let's Not Do the Time Warp Again
By Christopher Quach
Games can hook us, and we often remember them fondly for years to come. Christopher had fond memories of the PC game Warlords, but when he stumbled upon it again last month, he ended up questioning his devotion. Not everything gets better with time, as Christopher unfortunately learned.

You see? Nick Suttner mentions it on a podcast and it becomes my life goal. Then I mention it and Lance can't stop thinking about it either. The idea is infectious!

That clown looks like a zombie version of Pennywise. That makes it triple creepy(zombies, clowns, It).

@Tommy: I think it is supposed to be Bozo. I thought it was awesome/horrifying.
