Mafia 2: Joe's AdventureSince taking over the Community Spotlight from Bitmob writer Jasmine Rea, I haven't seen our community writers provide such a philosophical collection of articles. Who knew that free stuff from a fat guy would make us think so hard about our favorite hobby?

The DLC debate: Should most DLC be included in the original package?
By Doug Otto
I find it hard to get my head around the idea of DLC. To my mind, there’s no excuse to not include it in the main game. Most DLC comes out shortly after release, and you can see the marketing and sales strategy just dripping from those downloadable bits. Here, Doug chimes in while playing a piece of DLC he acquired just by being a community member.

By Corey Williams
Ah. This old debate. For my part, I fall in line with Corey’s opinion -- the debate is “fruitless.” Thankfully, he did a great job articulating that message, so I don’t have to! He also did a fine service by not making us with that opinion sound like a bunch of old curmudgeons.

By Antonio Byrd
When do our efforts to get the most out of games get in the way of getting the most out of our games? Antonio highlights an issue I have with using a walkthrough -- usually the prescribed method is not what I would do.

By Louis Garcia
In the past few years, indie game development has taken off, but what goes on behind the game? Louis spoke to Tribetoy’s Camille Chu about the company's new release, Chu’s Dynasty, and the Xbox Live Indie Games platform.

By Evan Griffin
Evan gathers the opinions of his video game theory classmates, Cormac McCarthy, and some other notable names for a very thought-provoking discussion about what a game actually is.
