Earlier this week our own Mike Minotti told you about Firefly and Castle star Nathan Fillion's campaign to play the role of Nathan Drake in the upcoming film version of Uncharted. Today we asked our Twitter and Facebook followers if they had any other ideas for actors to play favorite video game characters. We also asked which games you're most looking forward to this holiday season. Hit the jump for the responses:

Which actor would you want playing your favorite game character?

Aki Darwich-Mcfadden: Eric Bana as Snake!

@Giggysan: If there is ever an adaptation to Red Dead Redemption, it will be required to have Sam Elliott to play Landon Ricketts.

@ONoesUDidnt: I really want the original game actors to portray their characters (for example, I want Nolan North as Nathan Drake).

@AndrewG009: Nathan Fillion could play any video game character. Just sayin'.

@acronkyoung: I'm more concerned about who directs game-to-film adaptations. Stick Peter Jackson on Shadow of the Colossus. [Guillermo] Del Toro on ICO. I think Lord of the Rings proves Jackson would make a good SotC movie and Pan's Labyrinth proves Del Toro would make a good ICO.

@Jason_Wilson: None. I don't want silly movies based on games. Hollywood: Be more creative, please.

Which game are you most looking forward to this holiday season? Or have too many games been pushed back?

@AndrewG009: Fable 3, Fallout: New Vegas and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. In the meantime, my backlog. It's huge.

@Parker_Scott: Fallout: New Vegas. That game better last this poor gamer months.

@Giggysan: Just Rock Band 3 with the keyboard. Nothing else matters for the rest of the year -- too much to play already.

@nickmichetti: Donkey Kong Country Returns and Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit.
