Publisher Square Enix will release Dragon Quest 10: Rise of the Five Tribes on both the Wii and Wii U some time in 2012. Rumors say this entry in the ultra-popular RPG franchise will play similar to World of Warcraft.

Ryan Payton, Halo 4’s creative director, has left 343 Industries to create his own game studio called Camouflaj. While he enjoyed his time working with Microsoft, Payton said he was no longer "creatively excited" about Master Chief’s upcoming adventure.

Two of developer Treasure’s most beloved Sega Saturn games are coming to Xbox Live Arcade. Vertically-scrolling shooter Radiant Silvergun lands this month, and fantasy brawler Guardian Heroes will hit in October.

A Steam user found a hidden line of code in the PC version of Dead Island that refers to a skill used by a female playable character (Purna) as “Feminist Whore.” That special ability, called “Gender Wars” in the actual game, gives Purna a 15 percent damage boost against male characters. Not even in the face of a zombie apocalypse can women escape sexism.
