"I got 7.5/10. The half part comes from me guessing Soap MacTavish from COD as Sev from Killzone. I mean cmon, just look at this.

"not sure about that. The case with Brink is that the released game is unfinished and that's really it. If Splash Damage were really concerned about the quality of their game they should have delayed it. We can't just reserve our judgement for the game until the future because we aren't sure about the future. Will the game be patched or not? And if so when will they patch it? It all just unknown. And telling consumers that this game is not good is of great importance. It's probably a good idea if the reviewer thinks that the game can be improved in a future update to write that in the review, but that shouldn't change their opinion of the game. Though if the game does indeed improve significantly, then I would like for that to be noted somewhere, maybe an amended review. But I doubt many will pay attention to that and really thats just the price their paying. the important thing is that we shouldn't withold a review for a later time just out of the possibility of some kind of improvem"

"LOVED Hatsworth and am desperatly waiting to get Monster Tale. If there's one problem with Hatsworth is that later on things get so hairy that you basically are required to juggle every single enemy for like 30 sec if you want to survive, which killed the pacing. I hope it's a bit reduced in Monster Tale. I hope to see DreamRift and Wayforward get more recognition. Non-indie 2D sprite artists are rarer than the"

"at feature! MK really knocked it out of the park & and I wish others would follow its steps. Speaking of PSN being down, I really wanted to get Arcana Heart 3, the developer Examu made Samurai Shodown / Spirits 0, probably my 2nd favorite (after 2) and it seems to have really unique clever ideas for its fighting engine (Homing button, seperate character + Arcana"

"hought the story was really well made and ended quite well despite the "legal loop hole" ending. I don't think it was cut short in anyway. The story just teased the next chapter that we all knew was going to happen. It's like seeing the movie adaptation of the 1st book when you've read the whole series and having the sequel teased. *Spoilers (honestly not really)* Having Shinnok as the new final boss and the fact that the next part will retell MK4 and up, games that were a great departure from MK1-3, is valid enough a reason for it to be told separatlyfrom the story here. Now the question is, DLC or s"

"at article. Nintendo could possibly support both Wii and Cafe at the same time. The wii is pretty much on autopilot now, only needing a few 1st party titles here and there. But I don't think nintendo will make Cafe the next core gamer focused system. Unless the Cafe is extremely powerful in the traditional processing and graphics department (I highly doubt that), what would gamers and developers benefit from a system that gives them an equal experience to the +4 years old PS3/360, which owns that core market (the market with higher software sales) and are trying to get some of the wii's ma"

"hink the lackluster 3DS reception is really due to the mediocre launch lineup of it and not just necessarily the fact that the 3D isn't impressive, with the most visually impressive games being SSF4, a Year old port, and ridge racer 3D, which personally I'm really digging. It uses the 3D to create this tunnel vision thru the screen, giving the impression that what I'm seeing is larger than the boarders of the top screen. As for Nintendos comment about the necessaty of 3D on 3DS, Will there be a time when 3D is necessary to play a game? no, but the same can be said about HD. The only game I can think of where HD gives the player any sort of advantage is maybe with a Call Of Duty-esque shooter where quickly spotting far enemies that are only a few pixels wide hiding in a bush and camouflaged can mean life or"

"a, you seem to have quite the angst against Sakimoto, as if he's some sort of a George Lucas like person unknowingly demolishing his own creation because of the complete freedom. Except really, I think Other M is not the mad product of someone's vision as it is a mad product of financial circumstances. I think Other M is just another case of simplification and adaptation to a more general audience to improve sales (Angsty PC gamers call it consolization, whiny Console gamers call it dumbing down for Casuals) The Metroid franchise isn't really big financially speaking. And it's no secret that the Prime franchise didn't sell well in Japan, home of Nintendo. I think Other M is an attempt to make an approachable Metroid game for Japan and worldwide, which lead to the simplified controls & levels and the use if a more traditional and orthodox story delivery method with cutscenes, a forte not familiar with Nintendo or any of their franchises. Still, as you said the problem isn't with the delivery method per se but it's the story itself being deliv"

"I really love Samurai Shodown's story and characters. I think the time period plus the fact that the story isn't the usual final boss holds a Tournament really helps. Also, the fact that many of the fighters in Samurai Shodown are based on real people in old japanese history or folklore helps.

Hanzo's story about saving his possesed son is quite an emotional one. Especially with the events that happens in. Ukyo's struggle with tuberculosis is why he holds a lot of apples on him and how these characteristics actually appear in his signature moves is really clever."

"Great Article. I always thought that Stealth Games depends on the ability to communicate the AI's intentions to the player, rather than just an effective AI. Probably the biggest complaint that I read in reviews about shoddy stealth games how players get detected out of the blue  without any warnings or even a good justification for why and how they got detected.

Players watch an enemy patrol route so that they know when and where does the enemy pass throught a given section. The enemy exclaims about what is finds weird or out of place so that the players understand that thier patrol route is no longer viable and the enemy is investigating an unusual occurance, even if it comes off weird that the enemy character is basically talking to themselves. Things like these and obviously more are simple examples of a communicative AI."
