"o think that X was the last true traditional FF title..which is good save for the fact that the newer Final Fantasies cite radical departures from the JRPG formula as progress. Due to this, I am a strong believer that the JRPG torch has been passed to smaller companies like Atlus who have no choice but to innovate(in the JRPG market) to sell units. SE on the other hand just has to announce a remake of...say Chrono Trigger and they make gobs of money. So why should SE try harder? I think they are a product of their own success: a company that is stuck in sequel mode who can't see their own faults. Here's hoping they make more games like The World Ends With You and sort this out"
