Best Worst Use of Nolan North in 2009: Everything Except Uncharted 2

Nolan NorthUnless he can't feed his family without the work, gamers could probably do with a little less Nolan North in 2010. It's not that the voice actor isn't great at what he does; it's just we can only have so much "everyman" in our everyman lives -- he's been in over a dozen games last year alone!

The only role we need to see him back for is as Nathan Drake in the Uncharted series. He's clumsy, awkward, daring, yet oh-so-real at the same time. North makes a better Indiana Jones than Indiana Jones himself in the gaming world, and his grand, epic adventures as Drake capture a classic, romantic spirit long-lost in today's world of Michael Bays and Crystal Skulls.

OK, he did do a fine job in the excellent Shadow Complex, but even Uncharted 2's creative director thought his part there was a little unoriginal....

I don't understand all of the hate directed at North. He's just trying to land gigs; it's not his fault that so many audio guys like his voice. Voice actors are freelancers, and their business is frequently feast-or-famine.
I blame all the developers going gung-ho for the everydayman character. Nolan North is fine, but this is to the point of oversaturation. I don't want Mark Hammill doing voices for EVERY single villain out there.
I don't hate North at all. But developers need to be more creative than just defaulting to him for their "everyman" roles. He's over-typecasted now. It'd be the same as if you saw Samuel L. Jackson in 15 movies in 2009. He's not a bad actor, and it's not necessarily his fault...but can the casting directors find someone else? Anyone else?
@Shoe Oh, I should've been more clear -- I'm talking about the hate I read on message boards and hear on podcasts. I'm not saying you hate him.
What else has he been in besides Shadow Complex and Uncharted, other than bit parts? I've been missing out on a lot of games lately (broked ps3), but I know how it goes. I love Steve Blum (Spike Spiegel, and lately Wolverine)to death but he's seriously in damn near every other anime and video game these days. There's a few voice actor's I'm getting sick of that keep popping up in the Metal Gear games as of late. I'm guessing the problem is when an actor is good at their job it's easier for director's to hire the veterans than to hunt down new talent.
Dragon Age, Halo 3: ODST... check the link above on his name...it's to his IMDB page.
Well, at least now I know what people mean when they say he's the Nicholas Cage of gaming.
