Is there anything easier to create than the top 10 list? Gather together 10 things under a controversial theme like hot female characters or the best PlayStation games, grab some spiffy images, spread it across 10 pages, and watch the clicks roll in.

At Bitmob, we pride ourselves on featuring few lists (although we're not immune to them). We believe there’s much more discussion to be had than just a few things cobbled together under some common element.

Then again...how hard is it not to click on any list you find on a video-game website? No one likes them, but we all read them.

So let’s make them safe for the discerning gamer to click on. The goal of this exercise is to challenge the Bitmob community to take a stale and abused article format and breathe new life into it. Given the quality of articles you've supplied so far, we're very excited to see what you come up with.

For the next two weeks, we want you to go crazy with a group of 10 (or more or less) game-related things and turn them into an interesting article. Anything is fair game, but we want intelligent, well-written, clever, and funny lists. We’ll take the best and make our own top 10 of top 10s.

Here’s how to join the fun:

1. Write a top 10 list. Make it smart, engaging, hilarious, and relevant...or just flat-out awesome. We’re not too picky.
2. Tag it with “Top 10." Do this even if you used a different number than 10.
3. Post it to the Mobfeed before 12:00 P.M. PST, March 8, 2011.

All articles will still be eligible for front-page promotion -- and the best of the best will make it in to our top 10.
