We're excited for a new Kingdom Hearts. But we're also excited for other unrealistic things that may or may not come true in the next decade, like multiple $$$-branded money bags randomly arriving at our doorsteps. Hopefully filled with bills of large denominations. 'Cause penny-filled bags are like getting half-hearted DS games.

News Blips:

• Kingdom Hearts 3 excitement kept to a murmur. Chain-loving Final Fantasy Versus 13 director and Kingdom Hearts head honcho Tetsuya Nomura is a busy man. But he still has time to tug our heart strings -- in an interview with Kingdom Hearts Insider, Nomura says he's thinking about making Kingdom Hearts 3. Well, considering it takes about 5 years for a Nomura game in development to be released, we'd estimate a game in the thinking stage is, oh, about 10-15 years out. • 360 Avatar wears a Halo shirt, Internet explodes. Be careful, this may just blow your mind: Joystiq has found pictures of a dude's fake self wearing a fake Halo shirt on the 360 dashboard. Breathe, just breathe now. [Joystiq]

• PS3 games need more numbers at end of titles. The stat-trackers over at GameSetWatch show that some of the best PS3 exclusives to sell are ones that are sequels (with a few exceptions, obviously). Old is the new new, apparently. [GameSetWatch]

• Lost Planet 2 producer thinks demo is coming soon, he thinks. Gotta love a man who knows what he's talking about. Lost Planet 2 producer Jun Takeuchi told the Japanese gaming press that a 4-player co-op demo for his upcoming third-person action game will arriving soon, he believes. Collective breath-holding starts...now. [Joystiq]

Hit the jump for some video blips, including Harry Potter straddling a broom, punishment via bullets, a NES doorbell, and...more.

Video Blips:

• Wave your wand like you just don't care. For this Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince trailer.

Â

• Bullets to the face equal punishment in The Punisher: No Mercy. Guess "time out" wasn't working.

Â

• You care about the people who make Madden NFL 10, right? Apparently EA thinks you do.

Â

Cultural Blip:

• Bling-blong: NES doorbell. Most doorbells aren't too fun to play (seriously, only one button?), but a creative modder turned his door-notifier into a far more interactive (and surely annoying) experience. [technabob]

Thanks for that mention of Final Fantasy Versus XIII; I had no idea the game existed in development. Reading the wiki, I'm particularly interested in the "departure from the light and magical aesthetic" to "formulating a realistic world."
As a testament towards his desire for realism; in the PlayStation Premier trailer, in contrast to previous Final Fantasy titles, Versus XIII had a greater display of graphic violence with an instance of blood.
What can I say? I'm a sucker for copious amounts of gore.

Breath, just breath now.

Breathe has an "e" at the end Donahoe. Look at me: I'm editing the editors :P.

I have always thought that one of the biggest mistakes Sony made when releasing the PS3 was not having God of War 2 on there. They even could have made a higher res version for the PS3 and still released the PS2 version at a later date. I applaud Sony for trying to lead this gen, but I also think they have always had a bit of a problem keeping a consistent tone to their library. In other words they have never really had their Halo or Super Mario type series that can so clearly be associated with the Sony brand until GoW came out. God of War as a brand identifier has not been used effectively with the PS3, nor has much of what should be Sony's other brand selling titles. Ratchet is really the only returning older Sony title that has gotten to highlight the library of PS3 releases. I am not counting GT: Prologue here, because it is not a full game.
The saddest part of all of this is that most of the games Sony has made for the PS3 have really deserved much better sales than they have seen. I really hope that starts to change this year, because Uncharted 2 looks like a game that really deserves to sell one million in its first week or two. Too bad I have no faith that the Sony faithful will turn out in those numbers.

That doorknob is great! Someone needs to make one with the Atari 2600 controller.
