E3 2011: The 3DS doesn't lack in the Mario Bros. department

Nintendo shook things up today with their big E3 2011 press conference. While we are still reeling from the implications of the Wii U, that doesn't mean we can forget about the 3DS. The Japanese publisher removed the wrappings from Mario Kart 3DS, a new Luigi’s Mansion, and a Super Mario game brimming with tanooki suits. I’ve collected the videos for you, and we’ll give you our hands-on impressions as soon as possible.

  • Super Mario looks like a weird isometric take on the series, but hey...tanooki suit!

Luigi and that old kart racer are ready for you after the jump.

  • Luigi's Mansion 2 is an odd choice for the 3DS. Not because I didn't like the original game, but because it is a game about holding a flashlight and the Wii's controller fits that bill rather perfectly.

  • Mario Kart 3DS adds the ability to pimp your ride while also gliding in the air and through the water.
