EDITOR'S NOTEfrom James DeRosa

Former Bitmob moderator Paul Gale has done E3 Q&As for the site for the past two years. E3 2011 is right around the corner, and he's at it again! Feel free to ask any questions you have about the show in the comments, and Paul will do his best to track down an answer.

Hello Bitmob readers,

As you all know, the Electronic Entertainment Expo is hitting the Los Angeles Convention Center on June 7-9, and with that I would like to offer you my services.

My job is to bring E3 closer to you than ever before. So anytime between now and the end of the expo, if you come back to the comments in this article, you can ask me any question you can think of about anything going on at the show, and I will personally do my best to answer it.

Yes, that means I'll be replying back to every single question of every nature. Whether it's about how a particular game controlled, feedback on what a company's booth looked like, how a new hardware device felt in my hands, which booth babes looked the best, who I met, or anything else you can think of...I'll answer it.

I attended the big show from 2000 to 2006, covered E for All in 2007 and 2008, then returned to E3 again in '09 and '10. Each time, I've done similar Q&As for sites ranging from Gamers.com to 1UP. This will be my third year doing so for Bitmob.

It's only a little over six weeks until E3, so now is the time to ask any questions that you definitely want answered. With rumors of a Nintendo console announcement, the likely presence Sony's Next Generation Portable, and all big titles that we know will be there, there's no shortage of things to talk about.

Register with Bitmob, and you'll be able to ask me any question you want below via the comments. Thanks!

If you're interested in seeing how my Q&A went last year, see here, and for 2009, see here.

P.S. Don't leave comments for this year's show on those articles by mistake! This is the correct article for E3 2011!

If you have time (and if it's on the show floor), I'd like to know how much of a bastardization X-Com is... or does it actually look good? What sets it apart from other alien invasin shooters? Nothing I've seen has impressed me. :(

I'm sure I'll have some questions about Nintendo's new console after I see the press conference. :)

John, 2K gave us a behind the scenes look at X-Com and it's still a ways off from seeing a release, but it's not just another first person shooter that has to do with aliens.  There actually is a good amount of real time strategy involved, as well as rpg elements.  I wouldn't be worried too much if your main fear is that it'll be "generic".  At least i think it has a good chance at being cool.

Thanks. Sounds interesting. I know marketing can be decieving, which is why my perception of the game is "just another alien shooter." Hopefully there will be some more honest representations of the game in the future. Maybe then I'll be able to muster some excitement for it.

John, you're welcome and thank you for your participation.  All I can say about the game is that I wouldn't take it out of your list altogether because it does have some elements probably worth checking out.

If you could find someone from Lionhead or Microsoft, could you ask them if Kinect is required to play Fable: The Journey? Thanks

Matthew, yup, at least for now...Fable: The Journey is an exclusive title to be experienced on the Kinect.  I don't know if the answer itself pleases you or not, but that's it.  You never know though; public opinion can go a long way sometimes.

If you could answer I would much appreciate it. I have seen the Uncharted 3 cruise liner demo from sony press conference, but I heard naughty dog brought another demo on a cargo plane. Did you see this demo? if so will the public get to see it during E3 as well?

Yes, I got to go upstairs to Sony's private section and see a whole lot of really neat stuff without waiting at all.  PS Vita games for me to get my hands on, left and right, PS3 titles without crazy lines, etc.  Anyways, part of what I saw was Drake in the cargo plane and man...with that, I can say that this game is really going to deliever.  I mean, after 10 E3's, you can kinda get a good vibe about something.  Of course that doesn't guarantee that the rest of the game is going to truly deliver upon release...but call it a hunch, the cargo plane had some gorgeous action and knowing the team on board Uncharted 3, I'm sure that it's just the tip of the iceberg.  As for the rest of the public, I don't know.  I only saw it up in the VIP area, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't below as well.
