COD and Battlefield Multiplayer :S

I am New to BitMob and I am glad I have found it. To anyone who will be fallowing my posts will learn that I will be posting some of my orginal content and highlight of some of my manuscripts, i hope you enjoy.

What is the most common cliche for FPS Multiplayer and Wave modes? Immediately we think of Call of Duty, Gears of war, Halo and Battlefield. In recent years each of the respective games try to add something new or put their own twist on it, but it still boils down to the same genaric gameplay. Dont get me wrong, they are extremely fun and addictive but come on its 2012, I think we are ready for something truely NEW.

I have mentioned in my first post that am inspired to write videogame concept from my love and obsession with videogames. I have grown to become a mature and responsible gamer however. meaning that I dont sit in my parents basement playing videogames for 16 hours of the day anymore. Well I do live in their basement still but I work and write and spend time with my younger sibling now, thats my point.

So lets get to the concept already. When I write I like to really think outside the box, I dont know how I learned to do so, but Its a skill that I truely am greatful for.

With the latest Console Engines, I beleive we have a lot more capablities to use then we already do. Im not a computer engineer nor do I have any experience in that field so I try to keep it realisitic.

One innovation that I think would be great in FPS multiplayer is the inclusion of Leaders, or Commanders. I cant think of any game that has attempted this yet. Of course during gameplay one would think that the leaders of the army and his "orders" would get ignored. the easiest way to battle this problem would be to provide a huge bonus to kills, suppression, assists, rivives and repairs for players who fight in the designated areas.

The use of bots in any multiplayer mode is also an exciting idea. especially with a that has the use of commanding officers. This would essentially make every player an under officer such as a sargeant or colonel that COD and Battlefied use so loosely. Maps would have to be larger to fit the large scale battles, filled with players, npc's and vehicles.

Primary and Secondary Objectives will only add to the gameplay and give the players more opportunity to gain experience. Lastly, on the topic of experience. Players who continually play and raise their miltary rank, need to be penalized for their bad decisions. After a match, the computer will inform the player what they need to improve on and what they are doing wrong.

Thanks for reading guys, I will have more to post in the following days. I will continue to use the tage used in this post as I review more of my insight and dreams for what this game would be if the right people hear of it.

Hey Kevin,

I'm glad that you're enjoying Bitmob. I just want to quickly mention that you should try and use the normal font in your articles to make things easier to read. If you're copy and pasting it from another source, highlight the text and use the "Erase Formatting" icon in the Article Editor to make it normal. You also don't want to mess around with the styles list too much either.

No problem. Unless you're doing something super bold and artistic for one article you don't want to use weird fonts for normal stories. It puts an unnecessary barrier between the reader and your work, and you want to use your ideas and writing style to make your articles stand out, not your choice of lettering. Thanks.
