Dear BitMobbers,

          I have been thinking lately about video game locations and the time era it is set in.  You know like Gun was set in the Western Days Back in the old days Era as I call it. 

     It is just that I don't see any new game locations or ever time era's being used.  So we have loads of Space games: Dead Space, Halo whatever, Mario Galaxy, Spore and loads of others.  Many Western games now: Red Dead, Call of Juarez, Gun and Damnation.  Present day Sanbox: GTA, Saints Row, Prototype, and many more.  Comic Book Hero settings: Hulk, Wolverine, Spider-Man and more. 

    Really the lists could reach out to every genre and every era.  Now I want to say when will something new and different come out?  Hate to say this, but the only ERA I ever see changing is the fantasy land's people create.  Further looking in to one fantasy land Bayonetta seems like the only original game coming out any time soon.

    So really will we ever see a new time Era being brought to us?  I am tired of WW 2 and all the stories that could be made from it.  Along with the time Era maybe and alternate location may be nice as well.  Have a great gaming day.
