After delivering a comprehensive timeline of the industry's development, the folks at OnlineEducation have decided to top themselves with an even more compelling infographic. But this time, instead of peering back through history, their diagram aims to investigate the current condition of video game culture.

How often do Wiis burst into flames? What is the most successful video game franchise? How long does the average gamer play per week? These burning questions are duly resolved.

But that's impossible! Playstation 3s NEVER break; ask any fanboy trashing Microsoft.

@Bryan Heh. My PS3 broke 30 mins after I first turned it on.

I think I find the funniest about that information is that as much as I hear fanboys berating the Wii,there are still more people who own and/or actually play that system more than anything else.

It's interesting to note that of the 5 top selling games of all time, 4 of them were bundled with new systems (Tetris was bundled with the original Game Boy, was it not?) Furthermore ALL of them are for Nintendo systems.

Is there any documentation on how many people actually bought those games exclusively so we can see what the real best selling games of all time are? I realize you could argue that people bought an NES for Mario or GameBoy for Tetris, but it's not exactly accurate to list the games as best sellers without the proper context.

I bet that final statistic comparing console game sales verses pc game sales doesn't include digital distribution.

@Chas-That's actually true,it probably needs to be abit more accurate especially considering that alot of the Wii Sports games have been bundle with the system itself.I don't doubt the entertainment value of many of the bestselling titles though,it just seems abit bias regarding they came with something else to get there.

Also who thinks Reggie and Miyamoto should run to become our new overlords? That information is a resounding reminder that Nintendo isn't just for kids or the family.
