It Was a Movie: Mortal Kombat
Mikeminotti-biopic

People are desperate to make another Mortal Kombat movie. I have no idea why. They already tried that twice. It didn't work then, and I doubt it would set the box office on fire now. Just look at the trailer for the first Mortal Kombat film:

Did you hear the first thing the narrator said? "In each of us, there burns the fuelry of a warrior." What the hell does "fuelry" mean? Did they just combine fuel and fury into one word? I guess that fuelry would burn better than normal fury, with all that extra fuel.

That aside, I still get pretty amped up once the Mortal Kombat music hits. The roll call at the end was pretty sweet, too. Kind of like the Mickey Mouse Club, but with more ninjas.

Man as horrible as that movie is in this day and age,I loved the hell out of it when it first came out when I was younger. The second one not so much.Still, brings back that nostalgia full force.I'm pretty I and many other folks will feel the same way with some of the current cheesy game movies of the past decade and this one. Can't wait to see the visual crapfest that will be King of Fighters later this year.At least this will insure people where I live will know WTH I'm talking about when I mention that game series :D.

I thought that movie was epic when it first came out. I watched it dozens of times. (I was only nine -- cut me some slack, okay?)

If you want to see a true abomination, watch the sequel.

P.S. Goro is a pimp.

Not to derail the topic, but does anyone remember the Street Fighter movie starring Jean-Claude Van Damme? I'm still trying to figure out why a Belgian played Guile and E. Honda was a cameraman.
