Mario Kart Racers: Another Set of Cool Toys We Probably Won't Get

These sweet remote-controlled Mario Kart toys are top of heap as far as I'm concerned. Based on Mario Kart Wii character and track designs, the R/C controller of these fantastic toys even give you the familiar jingle when you power-slide over a power-up [via Techeblog]:

No word on exactly which racers will be available, or if these awesome gadgets will appear in the U.S. Since they’re extremely cool Japanese toys that most of us would buy in a second, with our luck, I’m guessing we won’t get them.

Thinkgeek.com usually does Japanese import toys. Maybe we'll get lucky?

These are available in the US. I've seen them at Target for $20 apiece. Here's the page on Target's site:
