In the lastest episode of the Mobcast, Bitmob community members Juan Letona and Karli Winata join Brett Bates and Dan Hsu.

The group discusses the recent glut of first-person shooters centered on modern warfare, which old Nintendo games they couldn't beat, different approaches to sequel-making, titles that left them with misleading first impressions, and the positives and negatives of silent protagonists.

Thanks to Dan, Brett, and Demian for their wonderful hospitality. I had a great time podcasting with the bitmob co-hosts and Karli.

To expand on the "Silent Protagonist", more specifically Gordon Freeman from Half-Life, Valve probably wants to keep the stereotype that scientist, or more generally nerds, are anti-social. But you guys should ask Valve why Freeman is the way he is. After this discussion do you guys think Valve will give Freeman a "voice" in Half-Life 2 Episode 3? Or Half-Life 3?

In the meantime, thanks to you guys, I'll be playing Modern Warfare 2...
