In this week's Mobcast, community members Michael Pangelina and Larry LeBron join Bitmob co-founders Demian Linn and Dan Hsu. The group discusses whether they prefer Halo or Call of Duty, the innovation of new gameplay mechanics, great stories set in less-than-desirable genres, the place of minorities in modern titles, and real-life interests sparked by playing games.

Have a community topic you want  to hear the crew discuss? E-mail your suggestions to letters@bitmob.com, subject "Mobcast." And if you live in the San Francisco Bay Area and would like to appear on the Mobcast, send us an email to that same letters@bitmob.com address with the subject "Community Guest."

Is it just me or does that open-ended detective-game sound like LA Noire? I hope that's what it is anyway.

Loved the discussion on ethnic minorities in video games. Some elements of that topic would've been difficult to discuss, but you guys handled it very professionally and thoroughly. A great listen, as usual!

Shout out to Brett for navigating my cold, wet self there. He was the Oracle to my Batman.

Check out the Saw video games for an example of two games that use an African American protagonist without making a big issue about it.

Ha, just looked at all the tags for this episode. I should've just started rattling off random game names at the end of the episode, to see how far Brett would go with it.
