Say you're a talented musician, and you love video games. How do you go about expressing that love without being called a nerd? You turn your favorite themes into stellar rock anthems, that's how!

A YouTuber named Casper has turned some popular tunes from games like Zelda and F-Zero (not to mention a few more obscure titles like Luigi's Mansion) into wicked guitar tracks that would make Jimi Hendrix proud [via YouTube]:

If I had any artistic skill whatsoever, this is what I would use it for. Years from now, when this kid is the lead guitarist for some famous rock band, this video will be used for endless hours of ridicule. Let's hear it for the age of instant Internet fame!

I still like this one

Notice the Bass is Joust themed. Obviously I'm a bit biased as a result.

One of my favourites is this hugely popular one:

I love the way he's managed to record all the instruments separately, and get the timing perfect. Absolutely wonderful.

That really wouldn't make jimi proud.  That kind of squealy guitar is the antithesis of hendrix's style.

Also:  Not a knock against the playing, so much as one against the sound of the guitars.
