BioShock Infinite touches upon the strong undercurrent of American exceptionalism that was prevalent in the late 1800s, back when everyone could zap lightning bolts out of their hands. Wait, maybe that last part isn't quite right....

Video Blips:

While walking through the serenely floating (and slowly crumbling) utopia of Columbia in BioShock Infinite, you're largely ignored by the quiet populace until -- just like in real life -- a loud-mouthed politician gets in your way. Then all hell breaks loose. Words can't describe the sheer amount of chaos that goes on in this trailer, so I'll just shut up and let you watch.

Continue after the break for the treacherous Albert Wesker's appearance in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, a display of the brutal martial-arts moves available in James Bond 007: Blood Stone, and an electrifyingly colorful gameplay trailer for Nexuiz.

• Even though he looks like a rejected Deus Ex character, Resident Evil's Albert Wesker has some pretty slick moves in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. He also has the distinction of being one of the rare individuals who can somehow perpetually keep their sunglasses on.

In James Bond 007: Blood Stone, guns are so passé -- bring the action up close and personal with a plethora of deadly melee takedowns. Thanks to the Principle of Evil Marksmanship, Bond's fists are lopsidedly powerful against well-armored, rifle-toting henchmen.

• Nexuiz's foliage-choked and sprawling arenas coupled with over-the-top weaponry hints of a heavy Unreal Tournament influence. Also, no deathmatch shooter would be complete without the mighty teabag, and Nexuiz delivers (around 1:00).

And is this a Bioshock that looks interesting?  To me?  Preposterous.
