I’ve experienced quite a bit of Deus Ex: Human Revolution thus far. Of all that I’ve seen, the combat features are what have sold me the most, several of which are mentioned in the video below. I don’t even own it, yet I already know how I’m going to play: stealthy. Ninja cyborg all the way, baby!

Video Blips:

• The team at Eidos Montreal is intent on constantly teasing us with tastes of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. And is it just me, or do all the French accents make the game seem more appealing? I suddenly find myself strangely attracted to the protagonist, Adam Jensen.

Continue after the break for some behind-the-scenes stuff on the CG trailers for Tomb Raider and Saints Row: The Third, and check out the story and setting behind the upcoming Starhawk.

• When I saw the new Tomb Raider trailer at E3, the first thing I realized was that Lara Croft seemed more girlish than her previous incarnations. But maybe that’s a good thing! Vulnerability breeds character; we very rarely get to experience the vulnerabilities of women in games.

• The CG trailer for Saints Row: The Third has a lot of Easter eggs in it. It’s kind of like if Pixar did a film about drugs and gangsters...who also wield dildo bats.

• For those of you who enjoyed Warhawk, it should please you to hear that its sequel, Starhawk, mixes the great multiplayer of the original with an original story. Besides its setting -- a mixture of space opera and western -- something else intrigues me even more: The main character, Emmett Graves, is black! You sure don’t see that very often in games. And it’s about damn time, if you ask me.
