Why companies shouldn't own words

You may have heard that ZeniMax Media, the company that owns Bethesda, is suing Notch, the man behind the mega-popular Minecraft, because he's naming his next game Scrolls. According to ZeniMax, consumers would confuse this title with Bethesda's Elder Scrolls series. I wonder what would happen if more companies took similar legal action.

Sue!

Ha! That was the best one yet for sure. I don't laugh out loud very often but that one got me! It is so true too. I was honestly pretty upset when I read what Bethesda was doing. It is so absurd. If the guy had called his game Scrolls: Oblivion, I could understand...But simply calling it Scrolls is going to confuse us? What makes me most upset about all of this is how low Bethesda's opinion of their customers are.

They must thing that we are incredibly stupid. Helplessly moronic...Since after all, we can not tell the difference between a game called "The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion" and one called "Scrolls". Just like how we all get confused between the two movies "The Pianist" and "The Shawshank Redemption". Both titles have the word "The" in them!! How are we morons supposed to know the difference!!!
