So what is it that you look for when going into a video game store? Do you really care about if the employees play the games and are gamers themselves?

"Great article Mitch! The way I see it, it is like these ads are similar to smear campaigns in political races. It's all just to show how evil/bad the competition is to try and sway your decision. I am a person that believes if you show me what is good about your game instead of wasting money and talent creating "this game sucks, play our game" ads. I would care more about said game."

"About the whole "no game is perfect" thing. This sort of thing is why I wish big named sites would use the review score of monetary value. Some games are not worth the disc they are burned on. Others are worth every penny despite the flaws."

"s brings back memories of the good old days of tech that never really worked for gaming. I had the Power Pad and Power Glove in the past. The Power Pad was fun for 5 minutes until I got tired of running in place so I would just use my hands to punch the buttons on the Power Pad. The Power Glove entertained me more playing with it not connected to the NES. My imagination was pretty good back then.
I am just glad that these days the tech that was built on these past peripherals are actually functional and not filled with empty pro"

"sucks to know that in this day and age we are still not comfortable with male homosexuality yet no one bats an eye when it comes to female homosexuality. It's not so much the industries fault, it's more the American culture to blame.
Until we can understand that people have the freedom of choice and we have no right to judge, homosexuality in general will always be a touchy subject with the game industry. Just glad that Bioware has grown up unlike most of Am"

"ave a small site that I run my podcast from and up until a month ago, I resisted the copy/pasting style of news out in gaming news but for me to see any more traffic to the site, I have no choice. It is an unnecessary evil and I hate doing it. I try to only post news stories that do not have 3-5 links to the original story and stick to the ones that my listeners/visitors would like to see.
If I had more time or got paid to do the news/reporting, I would most certainly do a little legwork in finding out more details if at all possible or relevant. All the big sites HAVE people that get paid and do this for a living yet they fall privy to the copy/paste world of gaming journalism.
I think it has come down to the "first post" syndrome to get the hits that most people are worried about. I would love to see more articles that are researched and well thought out with a mix of PR news since we will never get away from that style. Instead of copying the other guys post and linking to it, write your own opinion on the story. It's much more enjoyable than reading the same paragraph on every major"

"ctually have friends on both Xbox 360 and PC. So I will end up owning it for the PC since I have Borderlands now for the Xbox 360.
So my choice for which version to get for Borderlands is wherever my friends are. I like to be social when it comes to my gaming if it is at all possible. Seems like I got suckered into buying 2 copies to be hon"

"son, we have people that know the latest games and people that know the oldies. We sell a lot of older titles that are hard to find like the 2600(which we have the one that was sold by Sears in store), NES, SNES, Master System, Genesis, etc. We try to have everything and if we don't, we try our hardest to get them in for people on the cheap.
We turn on the old systems from time to time to show the new and younger gamers that come in what it use to be like for gamers and how to appreciate old games for what they did for today's"

"nathan, I talk to everyone that comes in with respect and talk to them as they were a friend. It eases the person's mind and they can easily ask questions if they have any.
I tend to also play the latest games on the TV's we have in store to get people interested in games they may not know about. I even hand them the controller to try it out.
I think of the store as my house and customers as my guests. I treat them like I would treat my guests. I just hope that this store can hold its own against Game Stop and stay around for a"
