Best Set-Up for a Sequel of 2009: Infamous

Using a time-traveling narrative in any medium, especially one that is introduced so abruptly, is bound to draw criticism. Some might consider the "ending" to this dreary world a cop-out, a waste, nonsensical. However, contrary to most games that anticipate further iterations, Infamous didn't just slap on a cliffhanger ending or leave the story without any sense of closure. The Big Bad was defeated and the motivations for his actions were believably explained. But frankly, the game was about experiencing the intended growth of the main character's powers and, more importantly, preparing his resolve for what is to come. While the ending introduced a previously unseen and unmentioned foe, that wasn't the set-up for a sequel - the entire game was.

Personally I thought this game was tedious and much glad Batman 2 is getting a Sequel which would be my Vote on this.

That's fair. I'm also glad Batman is getting a sequel, but as I'm still in the process of playing Arkham Asylum, my nomination for best sequel setup went to Infamous (I'm not yet sure if Batman is setting up for a sequel, despite one already being announced).
