On the latest Episode of the Mobcast Shoe brought up a good point about this games pre-order.  Knowing I pre-ordered this game it makes me think about it.  How ever I will dewll into this and more that I want to talk about.

So the point shoe brought up about the pre-order was why at gamestop give a gun pack code for a game that has a shit ton of guns to unlock.  After listening this morning it got me thinking why would they give this.  How ever starting at level 1 and if I get to start with this awesome shotgun as roland for me this is worth the pre-order.  This way I can use this awesome shotgun and think of what will be the next shotgun I can find that is also more awesome.   Yes I used the word awesome more then you wanted to read.  Now I will agree the pack is point less and kinda meaning less which makes me think if this gun pack is a cheat code of sorts really.  So what are your thoughts on this part of the topic?

With this being called a Role Playing Shooter (RPS) do we need another acronym to remember?  Of course it is a Shooter and trying to be a Role Playing game, but I don't think people should come up with there own genre.  Now I will applaud them being assertive in wanting to help us understand better of what they are showing.

Now some of you will agree to disagree with me, but I think this was also on the Mobcast this week.  Maybe it will be only me, but I think the addition of PvP in this game could have been done with out.  having not played the game, but I feel it should have been left to co-op & single player where PvP is not needed.  Yes you can flame me for saying it, but I think it was put in to make certain people happy and feel it will be useless after awhile.

Even though I have yet to play this game.  I have this game on pre-order, but with all the ads I see here on the site I thought it would be time to discuss this game.  How ever if you go off topic I only want to hear your thought on Brutal legend MP and how it is. :)

I felt the pre-order gun was going to be similar to the Burnout Paradise exclusive pre-order cars. You put the code in, and the code unlocks something in the game, but you have to reach a corresponding level before you are able to access it. I know the Game Crazy car from Paradise worked this way.

I honestly don't really like preorder bonuses in general but that's more of a 'curse gamestop and their marketing reach' sort of thing. As for borderland's specific bonus....i'd never notice nor would I ever miss it for not having it. Getting 3 guns in a game with millions of guns in it is a goofy idea. I'm sure i'd find replacements soon enough. As for PVP. Pointless addition seems apt. No one i know needs another competitive shooter right now and I can't imagine anything borderlands does does anything but hamper the concept of dudes shooting other dudes. Seems like the RPG elements would unbalance things way too much. I'm just glad the game is there with a robust coop mode. As coop is the shiz and needs to gain popularity so I can have more people to shoot computers with.
