What is it?

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a prequel to one of the most venerated PC games in history. You play as Adam Jensen, private muscle for the powerful cybernetics and augmentations company, Sarif Industries. After Jensen and his company are ferociously attacked -- forcing him to undergo several mechanical fixes -- he begins an investigation to see who is responsible and why.

Why is it cool?

Why is chocolate cake so delicious? This is a question that should practically answer itself. Deus Ex: Human Revolution combines the unique aesthetics of cyberpunk and the renaissance, and features a variety of role-playing, action, and stealth gameplay.

Most of us at Bitmob have seen and played our fair share of this game and, trust us, once you play it, the real world is going to feel like the stone age.

The moment I wanted to enter corporate espionage

Like many role-playing games, Human Revolution provides the ability to play stealthily and avoid direct conflict. Unlike most of those role-playing games though, stealth in Deus Ex is not an afterthought. The variety of gadgets and abilities that aid you in your covertness is extensive and can make you feel like you’re playing a game based around stealth alone.

For instance: A predator-like invisibility field will cloak you from watchful enemies. Even more useful is the fact that it doubles as a shield that mirrors lasers in guarded hallways. Sam Fisher and Solid Snake should start searching for new day jobs.

I don't know about this one. I was dying to play it until I saw some gameplay videos. The shooting seems so bland. Yes I unserstand this is an RPG as well, but that is no excuse for lazy shooting mechanics. There was no recoil, and enemies just stood there while you filled them with lead. It did not look like it felt good to shoot the guns in the game, and that is how I would play this game.

I would shoot first and ask questions later. That is how I have played all the Deus Ex games, and the shooting here just seems weak. I hope I am wrong, but I am usually very good at knowing when I am going to like a game or not based soley on videos and previews. The only times I have been wrong recently is with Metro 2033 and Darksiders, both of which I thought would suck, but turned out to be amazing.

You haven't played it yet, Ed? Shouldn't you, y'know, wait until you do?
