In 2008 Michael David Barret followed ESPN’s Erin Andrews from city to city and hotel to hotel, surreptitously filming her in various stages of undress via a reverse peephole. After the footage found its way to the Internet, Barret was arrested and eventually sentenced to 30 months in prison.
At Barret’s sentencing hearing, Andrews told the court, "I'm being traumatized every single day for what he did.... This will never be over for me."
She’s right. It’s difficult to see Andrews and not think about the horrible ordeal she went through -- even if it’s just in a video game. Yet one has to wonder how anyone approved Andrews' reading of the text in this awkward (and admittedly out-of-context) "Road to Glory" clip from NCAA Football 11.

Maybe it's just me, but that sure does seem like an unfortunate choice of words. There's no chance she's making a joke about this, is there? What do you think?

that is funny
This is just too awesome.
Whoa...hahaha...I had no idea about the original arrest/stalker case, but this is really funny now. Good observation, Aaron.
I remember reading the story when it was happening and being thoroughly disturbed at the lengths this guy went to. Just for some blurry shots of her maybe-nekkid? It seems he can even strike from jail! Altering a teleprompter and brainwashing everyone to ignore his commands!
Or maybe Erin really didn't bother to try proofing anything before she said it. Awkward.
Awkward indeed. Regardless I felt bad for what she had to go through. It's ashamed that neither her or her agent took the time to proof read what she would be saying in a popular video game franchise.
