If Architects Were Cool....

I'd like a corner office in a Nintendo Entertainment System please! If artist and photographer Joseph Ford were leader of the free world, he wouldn't solve the immigration problem, fix the economy, or plug up that oil-spouting hole in the Gulf. He would, however, create some awesome examples of architecture gone wild.

These pictures were taken from Joseph Ford's collection entitled If I were President [via Geekologie]:

The most realistic building is obviously the one modeled after a PS3. When are the imaginations of engineers finally going to catch up with ours? Oh well, I guess for now we'll just have to settle for obscene piles of concrete that look like a stack of take-out boxes. Look for more pics after the jump.

That DS building would be useless, but the PS3 building almost seems plausible.

Those are awesome. PS3 looks better as a building than it does as a console.

The DS building is plausible enough as long as the top half is just a weird decoration and not part of the building. The bottom screen is a giant skylight and the top screen is solar panels... I'd think.

The PS3 building looks great. The DS building could use some work.

If ever I have the money, I SHALL live in a concrete recreation of an NES.  Or at the very least, that's how my garage will look.

I seem to remember this picture from the PS3 launch.
