IF NEW DISK FORMAT FAILS, WILL MS RUSH NEXT XBOX?

6.8 gigs (the max size of an single disk Xbox 360 game) isn't enough for most HD games anymore and 7.8 gigs will help but not much.  Wii2 is happening and chances are the Xbox360 will be the only HD console with a standard DVD drive.  Versatile Multilayer Disc (VMD or HD VMD), for example is a "next gen" disk format that "could" work with the 360's DVD drive and give the it a 50+ gig disk format.  But what if it doesn't?  2 disk games work fine, I personally don't mind it too much, but what about 3 or 4 disk games, Blue Dragon, Final Fantasy 13, Lost Odyssey.  And futures games L. A. Noire, GTA 5, Mass Effect 3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will need allot of data to fit all their content.  Perception is everything, why would I want The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on 3 DVD's' when the PS3 or Wii2 will have it on one, gamers might  not care but too much, but the main stream public sure as hell will.  Is the future of the  Xbox720 one disk spin away?

The thought of Skyrim on a Nintendo console makes me laugh, though I know you were just making an analogy.

Gaming is a business, as long as a console can run it, it will have it.  Heck, if the iPhone could run Skyrim it just might get it, lol.

Hey Eriq, we usually ask that people use their real names on Bitmob. It's fine if you don't feel comfortable doing that, but just keep in mind that not doing so will make you ineligible for contests, as well as from getting your articles into spotlights or on the front page.
