What started as a four-part series has evolved -- pun not intended -- into a nine comics and a desktop wallpaper for Mare Odomo.

Letters to an Absent Father is a comic strip detailing how Pokemon trainer Ash Ketchum deals with having a father whom he's never seen. In case you haven't seen them, here are some of my favorites. You can see the rest of them on Odomo's Flickr account.

Awww, that's bittersweet.

I love this series! Even though it's kind of silly, I feel like the artist does an excellent job creating a mood and inserting a lot of emotion into the comics. The giant Ash strip is one of my favorites.
