Area 5’s Matt Chandronait and Rebel FM’s Anthony Gallegos join Bitmob’s Demian Linn and Aaron Thomas on the first Mobcast of 2010.

On this week’s episode the foursome debate whether demos are good or bad, create a new genre of games, share their biggest surprises and disappointments from 2009, figure out why journalists are less “professional” on podcasts, and discuss how much game industry people should share on their personal Twitter and Facebook accounts.

I was pretty unimpressed with Uncharted 2, because of the unresponsive controls, abysmal hand-holding "platforming" sections, a horrible stealth section in the start of the game, boring enemy design, annoying blue Yeti guys, disappointing in-game storytelling compared to the cutscenes. Honestly, the most fun I got from the game was when it was in Fast Forward Motion, because then I could adjust to the PS3 controller. Yeah, I still agree that the PS3 controller is terrible for shooters, and there should be 360-like analog sticks which is brilliant for shooters.

YES! Dr. Sbaitso! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Sbaitso I wasted many an hour having "him" regurgitate four letter words for my enjoyment. (seeing that this was released in 1992 makes me feel SO old)

Awesome. Also, lol. Even though it was a bit weird to include the GoWIII demo with Distric 9 I was hardly surprised by the fact it was on the dvd. Heck, I still remember renting Doom the movie and playing the demo for Doom 3 off the dvd in my XBox!

I'm off to write a question for next week's show. I hope you guys like it enough to talk about. :)

I guess only in Canada they included the God of War III demo in the Collection, which seems really weird. I'm with Demian regarding the God of War III demo in District 9. This is just a chance to show God of War III to another group of people. They lose nothing from having this in the box even if non of the people who buy the blu-ray to actually play the demo.

The God of War III demo is included in the GOW Collection. I'm not sure where everyone got the idea that it wasn't. Maybe it's because it's not accessible on the disk, but must be downloaded using the code that is packed with the game.

We got a pre-release version that didn't have a code. That explains the distict lack of GoW3 on our disc. Curses!

Aaron, you were more of a downer on this podcast than usual. I kinda wish one of the week's topics would be "Games that make you happy" so that we could at least get some idea of what actually pleases you outside of Batman: Arkham Asylum. Honestly, I don't know how you complain so much
