PS3 owners, go buy Braid next week so industry executives will want more games like that made.

News Blips:

Braid is set to drop on the PlayStation Network on November 12th, giving Xbox 360 owners one less reason to feel special. The cult-classic indie success story will cost $14.99. For the uninitiated, don't let the game's non-threatening protagonist turn you off -- this game rocks. [1UP]

The car wrecking bonus stage is making a return in Super Street Fighter 4! There's also the less memorable barrel smashing stage that's returning as well. Maybe the game will go green and you can smash gas-guzzling automobiles. [Kotaku]

This Saturday Walmart is having a buy an Xbox 360 Arcade bundle for $199, get a $100 gift card deal. The offer is good while supplies last. Then you can use your gift card money to pick up a copy of Left Behind: Eternal Forces. No? [Joystiq]

Left Behind: Eternal Forces, a controversial Christian computer game is selling well in the American South. The game is actually being sold at Walmarts in the South and is alleged to be filled with violence against non-Christians as well as sexist, and racist content. Honestly, where is the moral outrage? Can someone give anti-video-game activist Jack Thompson a call? [Destructoid]

Holy smokes, this is some awesome news! I don't have a PS3 and I don't have a 360, but I do remember the car smashing stage from Street Fighter II. Alas I shall have one or/and the other before this year is out! 8)

No one is going to say a word about "Left Behind" because religion is a taboo topic. If there was a motion to get this game off the shelves, fundamentalist Christians would just say they are being discriminated against because of their religion. The game may be racist, sexist and immoral, but it's here to stay until we as a society give up the idea that religion cannot be criticized publicly.

I strongly suggest that any PS3-only owners who missed out on Braid give this game a shot. If you're even a remote fan of puzzle games, you'll love this, and even if you're not, the game could still easily hook you with its complex simplicity (if you will), beautiful art style and soundtrack, and interesting story. Braid is a very special game to me, and I would love for others to feel similarly.
