I think that we should add Anonymous to a list that includes the Wu Tang Clan and Seal Team 6 as entities that should not be messed with.

News Blips: Mass Effect 3 delayed

Mass Effect 3 engages faster-than-light drives and moves to Q1 2012. “Today we have confirmed that Mass Effect 3 will be released in the first three months of 2012,” the game’s executive producer Casey Hudson wrote in a statement on Bioware’s message boards. “The development team is laser focused on making sure Mass Effect 3 is the biggest, boldest, and best game in the series.” I would like to suggest that they go ahead and release the game about two days after I stop playing Skyrim every waking minute.

Nintendo will drop the price of the Wii to $150, add a greatest hits line, and begin selling Wii Sports as a stand-alone title. We knew this was coming. With the announcement of a new Nintendo console, Nintendo had to drop the price of the Wii as the system moves into its twilight years. Nintendo will also begin selling four games as part of a Nintendo Selects lineup. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Animal Crossing: City Folk, Mario Super Sluggers, and Wii Sports will all receive new packaging and a $19.99 suggested price. This marks the first time that Wii Sports has been available in its own retail SKU. The new, lower-priced Wii will drop on May 15.

The Darkness 2 will come out of the shadows October 4. The supernatural horror series will return with a new art style and lots of violent tentacle action. Oh yeah, don’t forget about the Quad-Wielding gameplay that allows players to rip and slash enemies while shooting them in the face and neck. It’s fun for the whole family -- wait, no, that’s wrong. It’s fun for adults who really enjoy the blood-splatter-on-the-camera effect.

Sony finds evidence that suggests Anonymous was responsible for hacking Sony. The security-troubled corporation is reporting that they found a file on their servers named “Anonymous” that contained the words “We are legion.” That’s a calling card of the loosely aligned hacker organization. Sony CEO Kaz Harai also said that the company had been following four principles in dealing with this fiasco: Act with care and caution; provide relevant information to the public when it has been verified; take responsibility for our obligations to our customers; and work with law enforcement authorities. Or AWCACPRITTPWIHBVTRFOOTOCAWWLEA for short.

I think if it's proven that Anonymous was behind the attack, I should get a beer. Or at least a hug; I like hugs.

Unlike most, I was quite a big fan of the original 'The Darkness', and after seeing screens of the sequel, I am seriously hyped for the game and can't wait for some more, detailed, footage. Hopefully we'll get some of that at E3!

I'm glad ME3 got delayed. Hopefully Bioware learned a lesson from the rushed Dragon Age II debacle
