Zelda fans looking to find the independently made The Legend of Zelda movie, The Hero of Time, will find it difficult locating the film online. Independent film studio BMB Finishes reached an agreement with Nintendo to take the movie down in order to protect the video game publisher's intellectual property. Previously the film was available for free online viewing up until the end of 2009. You know what still is available for free online viewing though? The crappy Zelda cartoon from the '90s! [Joystiq]
A patent filed by Microsoft Research details a controller-free computer input mechanism that uses EMG muscle sensors to detect hand gestures. The suggested control scheme involves placing the sensors on the human forearm which in turn would be able to detect hand movements. Doesn't this remind you of the Power Glove...minus the glove? Authorities were able to locate and apprehend a fugitive drug dealer via his World of Warcraft account and addiction. Detective Matt Roberson learned of the Indiana man's WOW habit, subpoenaed Activision Blizzard for his account details, and in turn found the dealer in Ottawa, Canada.
