Editor's note: The first episode of Bitmob's community-created podcast, Pixel Revolt, is here! And it is good. We're gonna have to get this thing on iTunes. -Demian

Good Morning Bitmobbers! As E3 hangover week begins, we are proud to be able to finally bring you the beta episode of Pixel Revolt featuring Derek Lavigne, Brett Bates and Jeff Grubb.

We split the show into three sections, so let me give you a quick rundown

Section 1 - We all attempt to answer Robert Ashley's question "Why do we play games?"

Section 2 - In the spirit of the Mobcast, each of us bring one community article to the table for discussion. This week, the featured articles were:

The Last Independent Game Store by Steve Nyktas

Why I Still Love 2-D Gaming by Andrew Wilson

Diverging Motion Controls Opens Up New Problems by Jonathan Schoen

Section 3 - Finally, we go through your email and voicemail responses to our question "What feature or features would you most like to see on a gaming website?"

Special thanks to those who submitted responses for the beta episode: Cody Winn, Spencer Atkinson, Trevor Hinkle, and Andy House for their emails, and to Lance Darnell for his voicemail.

To go along with this, we now have our question for the next podcast. What is your favorite multiplayer gaming memory? We feel like this may be a slightly easier question for people to answer and hope to get plenty of responses to make a great show next time as well!

For submission help, you can follow the instructions here

We hope that everyone enjoys the show and we welcome any and all feedback!

Last but not least I'd like to send a very special thanks to Torrey Holbrook Walker for creating an original track just for us for the intro. You rock man!

As always you can follow us on Twitter @pixelrevolt for show updates or check up on our personal twitter accounts as well!

Derek - @valke

Jeff - @jeffgrubb

Brett - @bbretterson

Great job on the show. It was definitely interesting to hear about your ideas for improving/evolving the site. We are working on a way for people to 'digg' mobfeed posts, but not have that system automatically promote stuff to the front page or anything. But when we grow to the point where it's impossible to keep up with the number of posts in mobfeed, it'll be really helpful to have posts that get a certain number of 'diggs' be flagged for us to check out. You also mentioned some other ideas we're working on but can't talk about yet!

Thanks for the kind words Demian and also for the boost to the front page. We really enjoyed doing the podcast and we're looking forward to doing more in the future!

hmmmmm maybe bitmob could do something like a yahoo answers thing where one person gives a question, everyone answers it, and people vote on their favorite things. This would be a great way to address what our favorite multiplayer gaming memory is and vote for the best ones

Thanks for adding the stream file guys. I'm pretty excited to see the response and to get to work on the next one.

@Keith I think something along the lines of what you are suggesting could definitely be a lot of fun, just maybe not with something as personal as a favorite memory. Everyone's experiences are different and I'm not sure there's a way to determine the "best" one. What about something like say, best piece of swag or possibly, sticking closer to the original topic, funniest gaming related story?

Surprisingly great! I say surprisingly because I expected you guys to be a bit awkward since you are basically strangers or do you three know each other before this podcast? Put up an iTunes feed and I'll be sure to subscribe.

We'll take "surprisingly great," Allistair. Thanks! Jeff and Derek know each other, and Derek and I have been chatting online recently, but that recording was the first time we had all spoken together -- so I'm as glad as you that the awkward silences were kept to a minimum. Also, Derek did a fantastic job cleaning up the rough edges. Anyway, we're looking forward to improving the podcast and involving you guys even more. Keep listening!

"job cleaning up the rough edges." So, we'll never get to hear Derek's 15 minute rant about how cocaine just isn't the same when strippers aren't around? +_+

I agree with 'surprisingly good'! I enjoyed it and will definitely be listening to future podcasts. I would also like to request your posts continue to hit the front page so I can respond to your question before the next episode.

To Derek, Jeff, and Brett - you guys blew me away with your beta episode. Awesome job, and the perfect compliment to this site.
